rmtCtrl for chillispot

Hello guys and deverlopers...

I'm working in patch to add a socket connetion to chillispot and get info of connected devices, chillispot settings, authorize clientes and disconnect they with a simple use of socket.

This features is very usefull to give information to users of chillispot via web interface and control clients by webif too.

I want send it to developers to be added in standart chillispot if think can be good and useful.

So what if you need to shut someone down on the network? Or, you have a known abuser and would like to shut them down forever? Is there any way to deny a mac address?

Unfortunately, I am horrible at programming but would like to help/contribute in some sort of way - I am an excellent network/security/systems engineer and could at least give some input and test stuff.

I have Chillispot up and working in a large timeshare company.

It would be fantastic if we had the ability to assign a certain ip address to users based on either their login info or their mac info, and if it's by mac address, still be able to authenticate via radius for everyone.

In my environment (672 condo timeshare) my radius database gets user information from our pbx system (asterisk) which in turn gets guest checkin / checkout info from our reservations system via a daemon. So, guest checks in -> guest name, room number sent to asterisk -> asterisk turns phones on in room -> asterisk agi inserts login info into radcheck. User granted access to wireless. Process reversed on checkout.

My problem is that I would like to give certain mac addresses a reserved IP address for security reasons - i.e. a VP traveling from resort to resort can log in get a static IP and then the upstream Cisco router takes care of granting them access based on their IP address.

Change error reply from attribut WISPr-Session-Terminate-Time

Hi,

I got little problem (less important than my poor english).
I want to distinguish the error messages returned by a freeradius on the error 'login failed'. This message is sent if a login does not exist but also whether the attribute WISPr-Session-Terminate-Time is true (time passed).

I want to know if you've got an idea to customize the error message when the attribut WISPr-Session-Terminate-Time is true for an existing login ?

Cross Compiling for MIPS - RTL8186

HI i am currently trying to cross compile chillispot for mips firmware using /gcc333 - lexra-nnop-v5 cross compiler,

i can build firmware for my 2mb flash 16mb ram device and i can even make them run with 8mb ram but its a little tight.

does anyone have sources for chillispot for MIPS hardware or DIFFS to help me on my way, ill release the code back to the public once ive got it working.

My whish (which normally is easy to implement) is a multi-domain support... e.g. if i have the domain "uam.mychilli.whatever" and i create 3 A-entries with different ips... all ips should belong to the uam zone

Unfortunately this forum is filling up with spam again. The same happened with the old www.chillispot.org, it killed that forum.

Could the administrator of this forum please add a CAPTCHA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha) to this forum? That would probably take care of some of the spam robots.

There is a project at sourceforge called "SHAT".

SHAT stands for Source Hardware (MAC) Address Translation daemon.
It uses a method to allow any computer... even with **ANY static IP configuration** to access internet.

The actual control could be done via captive portal authentication (Chillispot).
